Dear Friends and USTA Members:

As the last day of my tenure as Executive Director quickly approaches, I reflect on my great fortune to have had the opportunity to help build an organization and work with so many dedicated people during the past 19 years. With the selection of Maryland’s own Jennifer Gregg as the incoming Executive Director, and the election of a Board of Directors under the continuing steady leadership of Marc Kantrowitz as President, the organization is in such good hands.

The many committed volunteers working with Maryland’s tremendous professional staff  guarantee a bright future: our financially sound association will continue to serve USTA members and all tennis players throughout the state without missing a beat. I’m proud of that accomplishment.

I look forward to sitting on the Maryland Board of Directors and serving the organization and members in a different capacity.  I’m also truly lucky to remain close to the game that has enriched my life with friendships that I will forever cherish and experiences that will never be forgotten.  I hope you all get the same opportunity I’ve had to do something you really love at least once in your life.

Thank you to those who started me on this path, who support me still, and who have shared their kind words and good wishes recently in saying “good bye”. I am leaving content and happy, and eager for new challenges.

Tennis may be a simple joy, but it comes with very large lessons.  It really is a game for life.
