“Congratulations to UM Club Tennis! I had the opportunity to serve as the club team advisor/coach at UMBC and served as club team coach in my first year at Navy so I understand how large an undertaking running an effective club program can be. Raising and managing funds, finding court time for practices and matches, organizing the practices, even finding committed players! And all of these responsibilities fall on the students themselves, as they navigate their way through school. In a nutshell it is a challenge. So kudos to UMCP Club tennis! Congrats!!”

The University of Maryland – College Park Club Tennis Team has been selected as the 
2012 recipient of the USTA Tennis On Campus National Club of the Year Award!
Along with the award, The University of Maryland – College Park Club Tennis Team will receive an automatic bid to the 2012 USTA Tennis On Campus National Championship! The outstanding work that Maryland did for the Tennis On Campus program and for the sport of tennis stood above many other strong applications. The award will be presented on Saturday, April 14th during the awards ceremony at the 2012 USTA Tennis On Campus National Championship.
